After a delightful stay at Hotel Contilia, I must commend their welcoming 24-hour reception staff. A quick elevator ride took me to the cozy bar, where I'd wind down with a classic Negroni, feeling like a character out of a Fellini film. The buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Although I usually prefer a heartier spread, the croissant's buttery flakiness and the aromatic Italian coffee made each morning a serene ritual, preparing me for a day exploring Rome's ancient wonders.However, my culinary highlight was dining at Ristorante Mensa di Bacco. The ambiance exuded understated elegance, perfectly complementing the chef's innovative dishes. Each plate was a delightful fusion of traditional flavors and modern flair, showcasing Italy's gastronomic prowess. With nearby trattorias like Aquila Nera and Acqua & Farina beckoning, Hotel Contilia truly caters to discerning palates seeking an authentic Roman gastronomic experience.
